Evan Gruzis is an American artist born in 1979, living and working in Brooklyn.
He earned his BFA from the University of Wiscinsin Madison in 2002, and a MFA from Hunter College in 2008.
Also in 2008, Gruzis published his first monograph, DARK SYSTEMS, in conjunction with a Solo exhibition of the same name at Deitch Projects in New York.

Gruzis's work belongs to the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and has been featured in publications such as Esquire, The Journal, Monopol and Clark Magazine. Recently his work is has been exhibited in Black Hole at CCA Andratx in Mallorca, Spain, and New York Minute at MACRO Rome, Italy. He is represented by DUVE Berlin, The Hole gallery,New York and SAKS, Geneva.
